Information about the Central Biomaterial Bank of the Charité

The Central Biomaterial Bank of the Charité (ZeBanC) is present at three locations at the Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin. The main location with storage facilities for over one million samples is located at the Campus Virchow-Klinikum. Additionally, there are two small laboratories at Campus Mitte and Campus Benjamin Franklin.

The Central Biomaterial Bank Charité various human biomaterials such as serum, plasma, CSF and urine can be stored. In addition, the Biobank Berlin offers various services, for example the isolation of DNA and RNA from blood or tissue and the cutting and dyeing of tissue sections.
