Modern biobank sets new impulses for future-oriented biomedical research // Unique construction concept
On December 1st 2016, the new BIH Charité Biobank building opened its doors for interested parties at the Charité Campus Virchow-Klinikum.
After a construction period of one and a half years, the Berlin Institute of Health (BIH) and the Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin now have a special research infrastructure throughout Germany.
The new BIH-Charité biobank is a state-of-the-art facility for the collection, processing and storage of biosamples from the clinic for research. It also offers scientists a broad range of services. Together, BIH and Charité invested 3.9 million euros in the new biobank.
